Me Before You

I’ve always been one to say that I’m utterly disappointed at a movie after I’ve read the book (note movie – not series) – but this afternoon, I had a date with Leya, and my in-laws and we went to watch Me Before You

It’s the first movie I’ve taken Leya along to, and I didn’t have my concerns, but she enjoyed it as much as I did, although when the tears started rolling down my face, she did alert the whole cinema to the fact that I was crying and needed a tissue.

Me Before You is an incredible story by Jojo Moyes.  A book I was compelled to complete between all my motherly, wife and work duties, and the movie really doesn’t disappoint.

Its so strange to see Emilia Clarke as such a care-free and happy soul, but she pulls is off beautifully, and Sam Claflin is a lovable grumpy-pants.

Of course the book offers greater detail and our imaginations are wonderful little things, but the movie left me in as many tears as the book.

Leya and I both enjoyed our little outing, and I look forward to taking her to Finding Dory – I’m sure she is going to be absolutely thrilled!
